Volumn 1, issue number 1 of the BB Australian Gazette was published in April 1962, at an annual cost of 50c for 6 issues.

Advertised as ‘a “must” for every Officer.’ The Volumn 1 order form further stated: ‘The Australian Gazette is the official publication of The Boys’ Brigade Australian Council and as such contains articles of information and news and views of B. B. affairs and interest for every Chaplain and Officer of all Sections. In addition the Magazine is used for official announcements and notices. Captains are urged to encourage each member of their Staff to become subscribers and thus keep abreast of Brigade developments in this country.’
