McVicar A – 1906

BB Gazette Vol.14 No.10 – The Brigade Executive have awarded the Cross for Heroism to Private Alexander B. M’Vicar (aged 12), 1st Jamestown Company, South Australia, for rescuing a baby from fire in a burning house, at great risk to himself. He was badly burned in effecting the rescue, while the child was so seriously burned that it only survived a short time.
