Archive Members Assoc.

Embracing the passion and wisdom of The Boys’ Brigade Heritage Society members became a pivotal step to bolster and enrich the efforts of both The Boys’ Brigade Archivist and The Boys’ Brigade Archive Trust.

A dedicated members association was established, aligning with The Boys’ Brigade Archive Trust‘s structure. Membership smoothly transitioned, preserving the familiar essence of the previous society with a printed quarterly newsletter and an annual membership badge.

Changes in the early 2020s meant different ways of ways of connection became the norm. The cherished printed newsletter bid its farewell at the close of 2022, gracefully making way for a vibrant eNewsletter meticulously curated by The Boys’ Brigade Archive Trust. A new chapter began, where digital innovation embraced the rich history of The Boys’ Brigade.

By the close of 2023, the evolving landscape led us to a thoughtful decision. The Virtual Museum, a captivating realm featuring the online archive shop, emerged as a comprehensive hub that replaced many services provided by the members association. In the spirit of progress, it was collectively decided to dissolve the association by the end of December 2023.

This decision reflected a commitment to preserving The Boys’ Brigade legacy in a dynamic and efficient manner. The Virtual Museum stands tall, an embodiment of our shared history, offering an immersive experience that transcends physical boundaries.
