Your access to and use of theBBmuseum.org (“the Website”) is subject to these terms and conditions. You must not use the Website for any purpose which is unlawful and/or not allowed by these terms and conditions. By using the Website, you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions and the practices referred to in this policy.

Ownership of the Website

The Website is owned and operated by The Boys’ Brigade Archive Trust. You can contact us using the details set out in the contact us section of our Website.

Our liability

The information on the Website is intended to be useful and informative to those with an interest in Boys’ Brigade History. We will use reasonable care to ensure that information is accurate and up to date but cannot guarantee this. We will not be liable for any losses or damage that you may suffer as a result of relying on the information on the Website.

We make no warranty that:

  1. a) the functionality of the Website and our social media content will be uninterrupted or error free.
  2. b) defects will be corrected; or the Website and our social media content or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or anything else which may be harmful or destructive. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall be construed as seeking to exclude our liability of The Boys’ Brigade Archive Trust for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by English law.

General

Except as expressly provided in these terms and conditions, a person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to rely upon or enforce any term. This does not affect any right or remedy of the third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.

These terms and conditions contain all of the terms and conditions relating to your use of the Website. This acknowledgement shall not apply to any misrepresentations and/or breaches of warranty which constitute fraud. If any term or provision in these terms and conditions shall be held to be illegal or unenforceable in whole or in part such term or provision shall be deemed not to form part of these terms and conditions.

The validity and enforceability of the remainder shall not be affected. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You hereby irrevocably agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Online shop

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse acceptance of your order.

There may be occasions where for supply or quality reasons, or for reasons beyond our control it may not be possible to complete your order in full. In this situation, we will contact you via the information you have provided with us during the order process, or offer you the right to cancel your order, in which case a refund of your order will be processed via the payment method used to make the payment. Refunds may take up to 5-15 working days to reach your account. Should you have any issues placing an order you should contact us using the information provided on our website.

All orders are processed by volunteers, and it may take up to 10 days to process and dispatch an order.

Pricing, product information and availability

Price and availability may be subject to change without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure the details and descriptions appearing on the website are correct at the time it was inputted into our online shop. Products may vary in appearance or colour to those shown on the webpage. If you are unhappy with the products for any reason, including if the products are unsatisfactory, please contact us using the contact information on the website.

Online payments are processed by a company used for processing payments made via the internet.

Payment must be made using a valid debit or credit card.

The registered address of the card must be same as the billing address.

Amending or cancelling your order

Once your order is placed and is confirmed it is not possible to amend or cancel your order. By submitting your order, you agree that The Boys’ Brigade Archive Trust should complete your order.

Products are supplied only for use as a consumer and not for commercial purposes. We reserve the right to refuse an order that we believe is for commercial usage. The sale or provision of goods, including in a digital format, does not imply any transfer of intellectual property or copyright.

Local Collection

The address for local collection shall be the same as the postal address on our contacts page. Collection shall be by prior arrangement communicated in writing.

Heritage -
Newsletter of The Boys' Brigade Archive

Heritage is the newsletter of The Boys’ Brigade Archives. Volumns 1 and 2 were published in print form by the BB Archive Members Association. Volumn 3 onwards is a digital newsletter sent to supporters of the BB Archives monthly.

The Boys’ Brigade Archive Trust relies on supporters to further the preservation and promotion of the Heritage of The Boys’ Brigade, ensuring that is is accessible and relevant to future generations of young people.
